The Charles County Master Gardeners program has teamed up with Civista Health and the WeCan! Program to create Grow It, Eat It, a series of events which provide information and assistance with starting a food garden and helps make children more aware of the wide variety of healthy food available. With community gardens increasing in popularity, in part thanks to First Lady Michelle Obama’s efforts to reduce childhood obesity and to encourage vegetable gardening, now is the perfect time to start your own garden.
