A Community Conversation About Mental Health and Substance Abuse

Join us here at UM Charles Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, June 27, from 8:30am to 12pm for a special livestream event about mental health and substance abuse topics, including:

  • Mood Disorders
  • Trauma and Violence
  • Addiction and Substance Abuse
  • Mental Wellness and Recovery

Streamed live from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, this event will feature keynote speaker Kay Redfield Jamison, PhD.

Dr. Jamison is an American author and clinical psychologist who has suffered from bipolar disorder since early adulthood. Having personally struggled with severe mania, depression and suicidal thoughts for decades, she will provide unique insight into the clinical and non-clinical challenges for people who suffer from serious mood disorders, and she will work to debunk the myths surrounding these disorders.

This event is completely free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so you’re encouraged to RSVP now. To reserve your spot, please visit our website or call (888) 332-4847 today.
