This group is designed for individuals who have had a stroke or brain injury and want to practice their speech, reading and writing skills after traditional therapy has ended. The group encourages communication in a relaxed, social environment. We strive to help survivors maximize their ability to communciate and welcome individuals at any stage of their recovery. The group will be conducted under the guidance of a speech pathologist along with trained volunteers.
Pre-registration is required. Cost is $15 per visit or 12 visits for $150.

The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for achieving 85% or higher compliance with all Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Achievement Measures and 75% or higher compliance with five or more Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Quality Measures for two or more consecutive years and achieving Time to Thrombolytic Therapy ≤ 60 minutes 75% or more of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.
*ED wait time represents a one-hour rolling average updated every 15 minutes and is defined as the time of patient arrival until the patient is escorted into the room where treatment begins. Patients are triaged at arrival and seen in priority order based on their presenting complaint(s) and reason for visit. Because new patients arrive frequently, this is not a guarantee and your personal experience may vary significantly from the posted times. This is provided for informational purposes only. Users are subject to the same triage processes as all Emergency Department visitors and treatment may be delayed to accommodate patients requiring more immediate treatment.
